The Working Group, with the guidance of our research, surveys, product discovery, and vote brought forth a recommendation that Canvas by Instructure would be the best fit for St. Norbert College. Moving to Canvas helps us to fulfill tenants of the Strategic Plan to enhance “Educational Quality” by implementing an application that will enhance the educational experience and which could help break down barriers to accessibility. With cost savings over 5 years, this decision contributes to another tenant, “Financial Strength and Operational Excellence”.  Moving to a different platform also allows us to streamline some backend processes to improve course enrollment information. 

The recommendation was received by the President’s Cabinet, sponsored by the Vice President of Information Technology Services and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and was approved.
